Live Today
SSAnkang Health's digital platform is now available in five languages:
- 🇬🇧 English — default
- 🇪🇸 Spanish (Español)
- 🇵🇹 Portuguese (Português)
- 🇸🇦 Arabic (العربية) — full right-to-left layout
- 🇨🇳 Chinese (中文)
What Multilingual Actually Includes
It's not just the website. Across our service:
- Website navigation, articles, hospital and doctor profiles, FAQs
- Case-management messaging — your case manager replies in your chosen language
- In-hospital medical escort in your language for major consultations
- Document translation (medical records, discharge summaries, surgical consents)
- WhatsApp and WeChat support
RTL Support for Arabic
For Arabic-speaking patients, the entire site mirrors right-to-left — not just the text but the entire layout, navigation flow, and cards. Right-to-left languages need RTL-aware design, not translated left-to-right design. We tested with native Arabic speakers from Saudi Arabia and the UAE during development.
How to Switch Your Language
Three options:
- Click the language switcher in the top right of any page — your choice is saved as a cookie
- Visit a language-specific URL directly:
/es/for Spanish,/pt/for Portuguese,/ar/for Arabic - Tell your case manager — language preference is recorded in your case file and applied across all communication
Smart Defaults
For first-time visitors, we attempt to auto-detect the most useful language using:
- URL prefix (if present)
- Your saved cookie (if you've visited before)
- IP geo-location (visitors from Latin America see Spanish/Portuguese, Gulf region sees Arabic, etc.)
- Browser Accept-Language header
You can always override the detection — your preference takes priority.
What's Coming
- Russian (Русский) — in active development, expected within the next quarter. Our case managers already support Russian-speaking patients via human channels.
- French (Français) — planned
- Vietnamese, Indonesian, Bengali — under evaluation based on inquiry volume
If you'd like SSAnkang in your language, tell us — inquiry volume is one of the factors we use to prioritize new languages.
The Translation Approach
Languages are not auto-translated. Each language pack was professionally translated and reviewed by native speakers with healthcare communication experience. We continue to refine wording based on user feedback — if you spot something that reads awkwardly, the language switcher includes a feedback link.
