Who is a good candidate for this procedure?
Ideal candidates include patients with stable angina, unstable angina, or acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) who have one or more blocked coronary arteries. Contraindications include severe bleeding disorders, inability to take dual antiplatelet therapy, or extensive multivessel disease better suited for bypass surgery.
