Who is a good candidate for Vedolizumab therapy?

Good candidates are adults with moderate-to-severe active ulcerative colitis who have had an inadequate response, lost response, or were intolerant to conventional therapies such as corticosteroids, immunomodulators, or anti-TNF agents. Contraindications include known hypersensitivity to Vedolizumab or any of its excipients, active severe infections (e.g., tuberculosis, sepsis), and a history of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy.
