About Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University
Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University (SAHZU), founded 1869 by British missionary Dr. Douglas Main, is one of China's oldest Western-medicine hospitals. With 3,600 beds, SAHZU leads China in neurosurgery (stroke, brain tumor, aneurysm), trauma care, burn treatment, and cardiovascular surgery. Houses the National Clinical Research Center for Trauma and Orthopedics.
