Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might be wondering about medical travel to China.
General
We partner exclusively with JCI-accredited or top-grade (3A级) hospitals with proven international patient programs, English-speaking specialist teams, and verifiable outcomes data. We re-audit each partner annually.
Typical savings range 50–80% on equivalent procedures, including travel and accommodation. We provide an itemized cost estimate before you commit so you can compare apples to apples with your home-country quote.
We are independent coordinators. We do not own or operate hospitals. We are paid a flat coordination fee — not commission per procedure — so our advice is for the patient, not the hospital.
Visa
Yes. The S2 visa (short-term, under 180 days) covers most cases including surgery and IVF. For extended treatment use the S1 visa. We provide the hospital invitation letter and visa application checklist.
Standard: 4 working days. Expedited: 24–48 hours in most countries. Apply at least 3 weeks before treatment to allow buffer for any document issues.
Travel
Yes. Airport pickup is included in all our coordination services. Your assigned case manager will be reachable 24/7 from the moment you board your flight.
In-hospital medical translators are included for all major partner hospitals during consultations and key procedures. Daily-life translation (restaurants, sightseeing) is supported by our case manager via phone.
Treatment
Yes — most patients bring at least one companion. We coordinate accompanying-person accommodations at hospital guest suites or nearby hotels and assist with their visa and travel.
Partner hospitals carry medical liability insurance per Chinese regulations. Our coordination service includes 24/7 advocacy if any issue arises. For complex situations we escalate to our medical advisory board for second opinions.
Payment
Yes. Most partner hospitals accept Visa, Mastercard, and Amex directly. We also help you set up Alipay or WeChat Pay before arrival for daily expenses. See our Payment Guide for details.
Coordination fee: 30% on confirmation, 70% on arrival. Hospital fees: paid directly to the hospital per their schedule (typically 50% on admission, balance before discharge). We never ask you to wire fees to anyone except the hospital itself or our verified business account.
After
We provide remote follow-up coordination for 6–12 months post-treatment depending on the procedure. This includes connecting you back with your treating physician for video consultations, lab result interpretation, and any recovery questions.
