What is EVO ICL?

The Implantable Collamer Lens is a posterior-chamber phakic intraocular lens that corrects high myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Unlike LASIK/SMILE, no corneal tissue is removed — the natural cornea is preserved. The EVO platform has a central port eliminating the need for iridotomy.

Why China?

Who is a candidate?

• Myopia -3D to -20D, hyperopia +1D to +10D
• Astigmatism up to 6D (toric ICL)
• Stable refraction for 1+ year
• Adequate ACD ≥2.8mm + healthy endothelium
• Age 21-45 (older candidates better for IOL/phaco)

Outcomes

UCVA 20/20 or better: 85-95% (depending on baseline). Predictability ±0.5D: 90%. High patient satisfaction in extreme myopes ineligible for laser. Cataract risk over 10 years: <2% with V4c model.
